From the beginning of May, we restricted play in our Friday BBO pairs tournament to novice duplicate players with a BBO ranking of 2 or less. We were delighted with the positive response from players around the country and now have a pool of nearly 60 players.

Congratulations to Claire Kimber and Wendy Drake on winning the first tourney and to Jen Watson & Chris Hervey on being the leading duplicate novices in the second.

We encourage more players from around the country with BBO rankings of 2 or less to join the fun by logging onto BBO just before 10h00 on a Friday. Then select Virtual Clubs - South Africa and the WCBU tournament will be listed. Click on the tournament and enter the BBO name of your partner. The tournament fee is BBO$ 1.25, about R 20. Be sure to buy your BBO$ through the website and not via an App or App store.
